BVIM is an investment management firm based in Hanoi, Vietnam.  The company was established in January 2006, as a joint venture between the Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam (BIDV), one of Vietnam’s largest banks, and Vietnam Partners LLC, an American investment banking firm focused exclusively on Vietnam. 

BVIM manages the Vietnam Investment Fund family. In March of 2007, BVIM officially closed Vietnam Investment Fund (VIF) with a total of VND1.5 trillion (US$94.7 million) in committed capital. VIF’s domestic investor base is comprised of leading Vietnamese firms, including several State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and private companies. International investors include institutional investors from Japan and the US.

Recently, BVIM launched its marketing campaign to raise Vietnam Investment Fund II (VIF II), a private investment fund designed for international investors. Target fund size is US$100 million in commitments. The fund reached its first closing on March 31, 2008 at USD$42 million.
